Game servers for SA-MP, FiveM, VC-MP and Liberty Unleashed

Hello everyone. It's been nearly 6 months since the last interview. First of all, I would like to apologize for not posting anything. I'll do my best to get the interviews going by now. For this interview, I’ve picked Administrator xSlitt. Slitt has been around since 2017. It took him 9 months to get promoted from helper to administrator, isn't that amazing? I think that this interview is really interesting and I hope that you'll enjoy it!

1. Welcome to today's interview! For the beginning, could you introduce yourself to us?

Hey everyone, I'm xSlitt, but you could call me Slitt if you want, or you can call me X if you want to make it easier. I'm 18 years old and I've been playing on these servers for almost 3 years now.

2. What exactly are you studying right now?

I'm currently studying Biology/medicine and I'm trying to pursue a career in the medical field. Preferably a PA (Physician Assistant) or maybe a D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathic medicine).

3. What would you like to do in the future? Have you got any goals or dreams that you want to accomplish?

My only real goal in life is to perfect things in my life so that I can be a better person. I also plan to work hard for any life achievements that I plan to accomplish soon.

4. What do you use to do in your free time?

In my free time, I like to go on walks with my brothers or just chill in my bed on my phone.

5. What can you tell us about your brothers? Do you get along well?

So I have 3 younger brothers, I'm the oldest. One is 17, another is 14, and the last one is 9. We have a good and loving relationship with each other. We get along really well with each other, and bond over a lot of things, such as rap music, the music genre that we all listen to and all have knowledge of, or having a shit load of inside jokes that we tell each other at times when we shouldn't be laughing lol.

6. Who has been your favorite rapper so far?

My favorite right now is XXXTENTACION. I absolutely love listening to his music mainly because I find it to be good music that I can listen to when I'm chilling playing SAMP or doing something else. The impact he's made on my life is one that I'll probably never forget, and when he passed away, I was nearly heartbroken, because I loved him so much not only as a rapper, but as a human being as well. I hope to carry on his legacy somehow, if possible. Till then, I'm just going to be listening to his music non stop without missing him and feeling too sad. #LLJ #RIPX

7. Do you use to watch any kinds of movies ?

I like watching scary movies to be honest. It's the only movie genre that I keep up with. I've seen stuff that range from the Scary Movie series, Insidious, The Conjuring, The Ring, The Grudge, It, The Purge, and the Friend Request series. The reason why I watch a lot of horror movies is because my cousins and I have this tradition where we get together and have a movie night where we watch 1 scary movie. We did it a lot like 1-2 years ago, but not so much recently. Maybe I'll bring it back soon >:)

8. What about books? Do you read any?

I rarely ever read books to be honest. The only one that I remember reading was way back when I was in 6th grade. It was called Stolen Children by Peg Kehret. I mainly like reading interesting articles on anything.

9. Tell us something about your nick - xSlitt.

The origin of my name comes from the Call of Duty Community’s OG trickshotter/sniper gamer tag format, because for those who don’t know, before I started playing SAMP, I was a member of the Call of Duty trickshotting and sniping community, and back then, my name was “Frenzy”. That’s what everyone referred to me as back when I was a console gamer, and now that I'm a PC gamer, I'm known as xSlitt. So basically, in the COD community, the way an OG gamer tag would work was that you would put an “x”, “v”, or a “z” at the beginning of your name, followed by one simple word. In some cases, you wouldn’t use the x, v, or z. That’s only if you had to because your original gamer tag was already taken. This system demonstrates the originality of a trickshotter or sniper and it overall looks super clean and way better than a gamer tag that has underscores or numbers or periods and is super long. In my case, I put “x” in the beginning of my name, and then the word “Slit”, which means a deep cut. The meaning behind this name is that I, xSlitt, want to make something of myself here in these servers. Something huge, for example I want to complete achievements, help out in any way possible, and be known by everyone. Therefore, if I do end up leaving these servers, I want to make sure I’ve left my mark here, and I want to make sure I will be remembered and never forgotten. In a metaphorical sense, I want to leave my “slit” on this server, just like my name. With “X” being the 10th Roman Numeral, this represents 10 years, which is evidently how long it will take before I am fully satisfied with my legacy on this server. Yes, you heard it correctly. 10 years. There's also actually an interesting story about my nick. So back in 2017 when I first installed the SAMP client onto my computer, I entered in my nickname where it tells you to add a nick. My original name was supposed to be "Slit" but for some reason, when I tried logging into any server with that name, I couldn't connect with it. At first, I thought it was because of my nick, so I kept changing it around to different variations of it. I tried Slitt, xSlit, but it still wouldn't let me connect to any server. Then, after, I tried my current nickname, xSlitt on this server, and it worked. Some time after, I had found out it wasn't because of my nickname, but because I was copying the IPs of servers and pasting it into the SAMP client, which wouldn't let me connect. So that whole time, I thought it was because of my nickname, when in reality, it was because I kept pasting server IPs into the slot where you put IPs in to connect to a server, but by then, it was too late to change my name to Slit, so I just went with xSlitt lol. This kind of caused some confusion with name, because players call me all sorts of other names related to xSlitt. So yeah, you can call me xSlitt, Slitt, Slit, or X.

10. Alright, let's move forward to our amazing game GTA San Andreas :D When did you first play this game?

I started playing GTA San Andreas on the PS2 in 2009. My cousin had a PS2 with GTA San Andreas, so anytime I went to her house, I would play it the entire time I was there so yeah, it's hard to believe that I've been playing this game for 11 years!

11. Who is your favorite character from GTA so far?

My all time favorite is Ryder. He's a bad ass gang banger who smokes weed and sell drugs. Was really sad when I found out he dies in the story. I even use his skin on all of our servers.

12. Tell us about your first WTLS experience. When did you first join WTLS?

The first time I ever logged on to the Welcome to Los Santos servers was July 14th, 2017. However, it's weird because I didn't create my web account until November 24th, 2017 lol. That means I had my unlinked account for 4 months before I linked it, which is pretty cool I guess.

13. What interested you the most about the servers?

The thing that interested me the most was the fact that it's more than just a video game. It's a family. A community. A cult, of players from all over the world coming every day to play. The single fact that anyone who's been playing here for a good amount of time can become a well known person among everyone else is really cool.

14. How would you compare WTLS servers with other servers?

Man, WTLS is soooooo much more different and more unique than any other SAMP server and I'm not even saying that to be biased or because I'm an admin, but like, you can compare this server to real life when you really think about it. Like for example, walking out of the house you own, getting inside the car you own, and driving to the convenience store to buy a lottery ticket. The realism of this server is beyond any other SAMP server and I'm grateful for niCe and his work to make this server such a fun place with so many activities to do.

15. What were your first feelings while playing on WTLS? Did someone help you in the beginning or did you learn everything alone?

So when I really first started playing on WTLS, (entire month of July), that was back when my brother used to play on WTLS and it's really funny because no one really knows that my brother used to play here back in 2017, but he left because he got bored of it. However, when we did play, me and him would rob shops together, like that was the only thing we would do. In the beginning, I learnt everything on my own, except I did have 1 person who would play with me and that person was Insane. He would always hang out with new players, show them around and stuff, and he would rob shops sometimes with my brother and I.

16. What did you used to do when you were online?

When I first started playing, all I did was the police job. This was the one and only thing I did. Believe me. I didn't do anything other than this job. Everytime I logged in, I would go straight to the LSPD garage and grab a police motorcycle, and start getting at least 100-200 arrests everyday I played. I was crazy in love with that job for the longest time. It even became my alter ego on this server, if I'm using that word right lol. I'll just say nickname, so my nickname became the "Corrupt Cop". It's still in my /tag till this day, all the way back from 2017, because recently I’ve been getting into doing other activities on the server and not so much the police job like 2018 due to the fact that I want to do everything there is to do on the server. However, no matter how many activities I do here and no matter how many achievements I complete, I will never forget that I’m the corrupt cop of S3.

17. What about gangs? Have you got a favorite gang?

My favorite gang is the Varrios Los Aztecas. I just really like the color of the gang and all of the S3 regulars in this gang. Also, I'm friends with all of the Aztecas bosses on S3. Originally, I was a vago, then a grove street member, and after all of that, I decided to make a permanent change to the Aztecas.

18. How about you and your clan history? Have you ever been a part of a clan?

Nah, I've never been apart of a clan here. I've never even changed my name lol, but if I were to make my own clan, I'd call it pK, which stands for Pain Killers. It's an idea I had way back for a clan that I never did anything with.

19. Alot of players dislike the current player community, what about your point of view? Do you think that the community used to be better?

Well, I don't necessarily dislike the current player community, but it does feel way more different than back when I played in 2017. I guess I just miss the old community too much to the point where the new player community is just "eh" to me. Like for example, I really don't have that many friends that are 2019 players and it sucks to say, but its the cold hard truth. As far as saying if the old community was better than the one right now, it all depends on the person, like for me, I personally enjoy playing with the much older collection of players, because that's just me, and there's nothing wrong with the new community, you know, we're all just here to play the game but, I think I would want to play the game with my old friends ya know? It also kind of sucks that a handful of players from the old community got permanently banned which threw off the whole vibe of playing on the server, at least for me.

20. How do you usually spend your money on the server?

I mainly just use my game money to buy weapons, reduce my mental state, buy drugs, things like that. It's my web money where I make my big purchases like house renewals or car purchases. Anyone whose sold a car to me knows I don't buy vehicles with game money but I buy them with web money. However, I try not to spend too much money as I like to collect.

21. What is your favorite contest that you like to host? (Carshows, etc.)

My favorite are carshows. They are extrememly fun events that are held in the server where literally everyone gathers up to show off vehicles. Along with the music playing in the background, hanging out, it's a really fun time because it's not like it happens everyday. Also, I feel like the players love car shows a lot as well.

22. If you could change anything here on the servers, what would it be?

Honestly, nothing. This server is pretty much perfect to me except for the huge amount of cheaters that play on it, so yeah, I guess if we were to get rid of all the cheaters, this server would be flawless.

23. What do you think about this whole Coronavirus situation?

Half of me is cool, calm and collected about it and the other half is lowkey freaking out lol. Realistically speaking though, I think the media is just portraying it like a really big and dangerous virus, and while it is spreading fast, people should just stay calm and follow orders from the WHO or CDC on how to stay safe. I'll tell you one thing though, this whole quarantine thing is driving me insane lol. I never knew how much I took going outside for granted. I guess staying at home all the time isn't what it's hyped up to be lol, but yeah other than that, I'm hoping this coronavirus calms down later in the year, because I don't know if I can hold off much longer :D

24. Let's talk about your admin position. You first applied for helper position back in 2018. What led you to this decision?

Man, I'm really glad you asked this question, because I'd actually like to talk about this. The first time I step foot on this server was July 14th, 2017, I became a helper on April 28th, 2018, that's not even a full year that I had been playing on the server. (9 months) I then became a moderator 6 months later on September 11th, 2018, and if you think that's insane, I then got the admin rank on January 2nd, 2019, only 3 months after I had became a moderator. What I'm pretty much trying to say from all of this is that no matter how small you are, you can make it to the top as long as you work hard, stay determined, and focused on your goal. All it really takes it determination and passion. With those two things, you can accomplish anything here. I'm guessing what you're asking here is what led me to the decision to join the staff team. I pretty much just said one day screw it, I'm done being just a toxic player, I want to start helping players, being more positive, and start managing the server after I had realized that this server is probably going to stay in my life until I die, so I began my behavior change from a player to a staff member, and the rest is history. I'm obviously really grateful for niCe for giving me a chance at being an admin because this is something not a lot of people get, so I'll forever stay grateful to my boss.

25. Who helped you with these positions the most?

Well, firstly I want to give a shoutout to my real life and SAMP friend Trent24 whose also an admin, as he was the one who promoted me and gave me a chance at becoming a helper. Without his help, I don't think I'd be where I am today. Also, when I became a mod, I was helped a lot by HoLY, and Abdoo, who were also mods at the time when I became a moderator but they were obviously more experienced than I was so they were able to help me with any questions I had and things like that. Also, R3kT is another old admin that helped me a lot throughout my entire time in the staff team, and I knew that if I ever needed help with something, then I could go to him because he's the kind of person whose always there to help, so he's most definitely going to stay as my main mentor in the staff. There are obviously way more staff members who have helped me, but the ones that I listed here are the ones who made the biggest impact and the ones that I remember specifically, so if I named you, just you know your help played a big role in shaping the admin that I am today.

26. How did players react to your promotion? Were they happy or were they against it?

Everyone in the community was really happy for me that I was able to earn all 3 basic staff team positions in under 2 years. A lot were surprised, like the old players, I remember this one old admin named Streety pm'ed me telling me how crazy it was that I became an admin in under a year of being in the staff, so yeah, it just blows my minds how I was able to complete this achievement, when there are so many old players I know who ended up getting the admin position 5 years after they started playing on the server, when I really only took 1 1/2 years.

27. What do you think about the fellow administrators? Do you get along together?

Of course I get along with the other admins. They are like brothers to me honestly, even though I have never met a single one of them, we've created this bond that I've never really had with that many people in real life. Overall, they're all really cool dudes, and some really cool girls. We always work together on cases when we need help. I feel like the best part about the staff team is that when you're unsure of something, you'll always have over 130 different staff members to ask for help or to get a second opinion, so it's just really comforting to know that my team has my back like that.

28. What do you think about the Interviews blog? Have you read any of my interviews?

Yeah, I've read almost all of them. I gotta say, they are really fun to read! It's so interesting to learn about all the facts about the people that you interview, and I think it's a really cool way of putting a person out there as far as making them known on the server so I give you props Mitrixsen for coming up with this idea :D

29. How do you see the future of WTLS? Do you think that it will last for another 10 years?

This server has potential to become the top servers on SAMP if it isn't already. I know I'm pretty new to SAMP, since I've only been playing for 3 years now, but you need to understand that there are multiple and I mean multiple people who spend 10+ hours almost every single day on niCe’s servers. There will be a few lucky times when someone will play for even longer than that. I remember not too long ago moderator Taaaaket spent 21 hours straight playing on the server, which is absolutely mind boggling. These servers are incredibly fun to play on, and with niCe's creative mind, it can only become an even more fun server to play on. If we can keep on doing what we are doing, meaning taking care of the servers, bringing new updates, adding new features, constantly fixing bugs, always having a player base, this server could without a doubt last for another 10 years. The future can only hold so much though :D

30. Let's end it with the 30th question :D How would you rate this interview? From 1 to 10.

I'd give it a 9/10 tbh, mainly because you asked me some really good questions that I enjoyed answering, which made this whole interview really fun to do :D

Yeah man, I’ve got one message to the players of WTLS, and that is to never lose hope in trying to achieve anything in life. Whether that being something you want to complete on the server, like an achievement, or becoming an admin, or something in real life. If you ever do feel like you can't do it, just take a look at me, I came here in 2017, and I became an admin faster than some people who've been here since frickin' 2013. It's actually insane. Believe me, if I can do it, you can do it too. Back when I first came here, I was a nobody, I had maybe about 3 real friends, but as time progressed, I began to build up and up and up to the point where I am today, and it all comes with time. Evolution takes time. Don't let your registration date get in the way of you becoming something great. I believe you all can do great things on this server. You just have to be dedicated, determined, and lastly, inspired. My name is X, and I'm out >:)
