In this blogpost, I will be showing you how to obtain a valid pilot’s license, which is done from completing the Pilot School course.

Description:

Pilot School is another educational establishment in GTA San Andreas where the player has the ability to learn different manoeuvres and tactics of handling a plane. The Pilot School is located at Verdant Meadows, which is marked by a ‘$’ sign on the radar (you can use /gps > Driving Schools > Pilot School to locate it).

You must first go up the stairs and stand on the red marker in front of the computer. The room should look something like this:



You can then press the ‘RETURN’ key while standing in the red marker to start the course. The vehicle that you will be using to complete the course is a Rustler.



Once the timer for the start of the course ends, you must first gain enough speed to ascend in the air and press ‘2’ to retract the landing gear (this increases speed of planes and would reduce time taken to complete the course).



To complete the course, you have to pass through the checkpoints (example shown above) in your fastest time possible and successfully land the plane inside the red marker to complete the course successfully.

TIP:slow down the plane when landing by extending the landing gear by pressing ‘2’ again and ensure that you are controlling the plane as shown below:



Once you have completed the course, you will gain a score which reflects your overall performance in the course (70% minimum is needed to pass, and damage penalties will reduce the score you receive). An example of this is shown below:



Benefits

By successfully completing Pilot School, you will obtain a valid pilot’s license, which will be used to enter any airport without any hassle.

However, without a valid pilot’s license, you will not be able to enter any airport as the entrance will not open for you when you go near it and you may have to find another way to get into the airport. An example of this is shown below:



Another benefit of completing Pilot School is that you would unlock a really cool Stuntplane, which has 100% Vehicle Armour added to it. It is located a few paces away from the Pilot School and looks like this:



NOTE: The Stuntplane CANNOT be saved at your hangar.
