Removing Giveaways?

Cr34tive's Thoughts

Hello everyone. tarantino4
I see what you're seeing here. We have a lot to talk about this. My main thing that I used to do in these servers. I doubt if I can continue it further. This is becoming a conflict as I believe giving away is a mirror to scams according to the people questioning me. Let me explain, it all started from this thread. There is a rule clearly stating this:
9. It is not permitted to sell or give away accounts or assets to other players, login to accounts of other players or provide your password to other players.
Now you may wonder. What is the big deal here? Well, it's wasn't until now. I have been giving away a lot of money since 2021 and the money has been sent successfully to everyone who won those giveaways. Even after the update where limits and sending money was greatly diminished, I still had enough potential to do giveaways until I stopped doing them because of getting somethings. There wasn't a problem with it as I talked to a few staff members about it since the event contributions were allowed. Carshows were allowed as the money clearly gets deducted from my account and given to winners with the help of admins. And then there's a screenshot I shared to show my friends' hearts for doing this much for me. Giving me these vehicles for free as gifts as it was their own decision and intention. I gave away $50,000,000 the allowed way and they just wanted to give me these vehicles. Even if it was upto me to choose to deny or accept those vehicles and I remembered from my last time in 2022 when I choosed to reject a FT Buffalo as a gift from my friend Sixtyone Sixtyone . I don't know what was my intention like I didn't wanted to waste everything he put in that vehicle or was it something else. I fixed that by choosing to accept those vehicles. And then there's a player , I know he got some points right but I'm doubting a bit. After finding about all this, I couldn't return these vehicles as that will break that rule so I choosed to keep them. Now the point here is:
- Is gifting something wrong here?
- Is it really human to be selfish about your assets and keep everything to yourself?
- If someone is giving up their piece of assets as a token of appreciation in friendship and bonding, is it really looked down bad by others?
- Is giving away money considered scamming yourself even if you had intention to give that money in the first place?
- If people choose to give money to them without anyone else fooling them around, is it really a scam? Does money mean everything to someone?
- When did giving up money to players by your own decision became a breaker for server rule?

As I remember from Stiffy's blogpost, he called my giveaways as contests as efforts are being put into this to receive the money. Take a look here:
he nearly ruined it at the end with a giveaway contest, which I really hateI never really said I was making some sort of contests. It was giveaways according to me. Yeah there sure was effort being put by players to get the money. I did got what he meant later on so there might be some contest giveaways going on and I wonder what might happen to them.

I need answers, and I believe you guys can give me the answers. I will not impeach of detract decisions by staff here. I just want a genuine answer about all this as I don't want to hope that giving away gets restricted which I'll feel like my friends are locked behind a glass wall from where they can't give anything if they want to or just be there to support for. Let me know in the comments.

Thanks for reading this and have a wonderful day. elon23

I though the sarcasm was obvious there, but yeah, I want to make sure we got it now.Well thanks for confirming that. Thought that was the truth back there.
This rule originated when some players started selling in-game items for real money.I'm pretty sure this doesn't concerns the matter I'm facing since there was nothing involved out of the server.
If you are not sure, feel free to ask any EN staff member.I have received plenty answers for Moderators, Administrators and even a Manager yet I'm unable to confirm if gifting me a vehicle over a reason named as "Birthday gift" is against the rule or not. Since the player has willingly told that he's giving it for free and that's the truth here. We have been friends for 2 whole years. I know you may wonder amount like 1-2m would be okay but 10-20m feels like a mere amount of money for us so there's that. Earning is not an issue. Money has no value left in my journey unless I find the exclusive stuff on sale I desire to own. I just want to have fun. I have been in the community for nearly 4 years and in the recent 3 years, nobody had suspicions on me as I never had the intention to scam people. I was never reported for scams, so what's the problem now?

He referred to my giveaways as contestsI believe there’s a misunderstanding. This comment was specifically related to my blog-posting contest, where you finished 2nd. I wanted to acknowledge the quality of your blog posts, except for the giveaway post (since giveaways weren’t eligible to participate in this contest). The comment about "hate" was just a joke, as I personally see giveaways as an easy way to gather likes. But this is just my opinion - nothing personal. You’re not the first, and you won’t be the last to host a giveaway here. I though the sarcasm was obvious there, but yeah, I want to make sure we got it now.

When did giving away money to players by your own decision become a rule violation? This rule originated when some players started selling in-game items for real money. As far as I know, this rule has been in place for many many years. However, if you’re following the rules, you have nothing to worry about. If you are not sure, feel free to ask any EN staff member. From what I see here in your giveaways, I wouldn’t be concerned if I were you.

What if someone logs into your account one day and give away all the stuff to someone else before you realiseThe only way to login to my account is to from my password which I'll never give up to anyone as I'm responsible enough for it. So they'll fail to do the second thing if they don't know my password anyway. And they should fail. My account is mine. None is allowed to get their hands on it.

Ig you are right Cr34tive Cr34tive , I don't think giveaways should be stopped, neither are they any sort of "scam". I myself conduct giveaways sometimes, and it's not against the rules. The rule mainly focuses on "accounts and passwords", it seems. As for the cars or "assets", it's not like they gave them to you without any reason; it was your birthday. So they're gifts, and therefore it shouldn't be punishable. If they had been given to you without any reason, then I would've said otherwise. Also, the money's yours, and since admins helped in the carshow and events, I think it's Ok, and it's definitely not a scam.
But if admin ShinchanNohara ShinchanNohara thinks it's against the rules, then you should decline gifts in the future; the giveaways are not a problem then.
